BREEDING ASSISTANT (M/F/D)

Full time | located in Nagele (NL) | at the earliest opportunity

In this role you will assist in the planning and execution of our diploid hybrid potato breeding program. This role will start as a one year fixed-term contract with the prospect of a permanent position afterwards.

Your tasks

• Planning and preparing trials using digital tools
• Communicating regularly with the operation teams
• Assisting with the phenotyping, implementation and follow-up of trials in the greenhouse and field
• Curating data and importing it into our breeding database
  Identifying and implementing process improvements and quality control measures

Your profile

• Vocational college level (MBO), bachelor’s level (HBO) or MSc in plant breeding, agriculture or comparable
• Work experience is a plus
• Pragmatic and hands-on mentality
• Communicative and supportive team player
• Affinity for data management and an accurate and organized way of working
• Business fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
• Dutch/European driving license, and a willingness to travel occasionally
• Ability to work irregular hours during peak breeding seasons
