During this internship, you will step into the world of hybrid potato breeding - a cutting‑edge field reshaping one of the world’s most important crops. At Aardevo, you will gain hands‑on experience in field agronomy, contribute to real breeding trials, and work alongside experts who are pioneering the next generation of hybrid potatoes based on true potato seed.

Role Description:

As a Field Agronomy Intern at Aardevo, you will actively support our breeding program and contribute to field trial success. Your tasks include:

• Collecting and recording agronomic data in field trials
• Analyzing datasets and supporting data interpretation
• Assisting field operations such as scoring, harvest, and trial maintenance
• Collaborating closely with field technicians, breeders, and data scientists

This internship is an excellent opportunity to combine practical fieldwork with analytical tasks in an innovative agricultural environment.

When & where

• Duration: 4–6 months (flexible start date before mid-June 2026)
• Location: Aardevo breeding station, Nagele, The Netherlands
• Format: On-site

Qualifications:

We are looking for motivated students who bring:

• Interest and ability to support field operations (e.g., scoring, harvest)
• Basic proficiency in R (or willingness to learn quickly)
• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (HBO/WO)
• Valid permit to conduct an internship in the Netherlands
